Independent researcher, author, musician and producer.

In 2014, Fer embarked on a journey through South America to research ayahuasca and the Amazonian medical paradigm. During the trip, he met the man he now considers his mentor, who opened up a new field of research for him, not only into Amazonian medicine but also into Andean medicine and the American cosmological understanding.

Fer lived in the Peruvian Andes for seven years, conducting an in-depth study of these fields and linking them to Western psychotherapy. It was in the Peruvian Andes that he met Adrián, with whom he and I embarked on this project together.

Independent Therapist and Researcher.

For over twenty years, he has explored the endless path of traditional American medicine and alternative therapies. Adrián has trained with various teachers in different parts of the Americas in various plants and medicines and their uses, such as Kambo, Yopo, and, most recently, Bufo. He has also complemented his training with other disciplines such as therapeutic massage and breathing techniques. He has lived in the Peruvian Andes for over ten years, treating hundreds of people as a therapist.

About

What is Bufo and what are we trying to achieve with this documentary?

The Bufo alvarius is a toad native to the Sonoran Desert. This toad has paratoid glands that secrete a thick, whitish substance containing 5-MeO-DMT.

This substance is known to be a potent psychoactive, perhaps the strongest in nature, inducing expanded states of consciousness. Unlike other psychoactive and entheogen substances found in the Americas, bufo has no known ancestral use, although there are archaeological and artistic references to toads in some cultures. If there ever was one, there is no clear evidence.

In this documentary, we explore this potent entheogen and its healing power in the field of psychotherapy through the unique experiences of both therapists and users. This documentary features a comprehensive recording of four sessions with this powerful entheogen, complemented by interviews and reflections from both therapists and users.

This documentary is part of years of research and study by both members and is intended for educational and informational purposes only for those interested in the use of psychoactive substances in the field of psychotherapy.
